All the Cashmere for our 100% Cashmere yarn comes from our own herd of
American Cashmere goats. The goats are combed out in the spring when they
begin to shed, and the combed fiber is sent off to be de-haired, cleaned, carded
and spun into yarn by a small mill. We also have a small amount of hand-spun
Cashmere yarn available.
Our Timberwood Farm 100% Cashmere yarn is a natural medium brown in color.
It is a luxuriously soft, light, yet very warm yarn. It makes wonderful scarves,
shawls, hats, gloves, sweaters, baby garments and undergarments. Our goal is
to produce the best yarn for your knitting and crocheting projects.
