Our goal at Timberwood Farms is to breed an outstanding dual purpose goat that
is conformationally correct but also produces an abundance of the luxury fiber
known as cashmere. We expect all our animals to be as self-sufficient as
possible, so we also breed for excellent mothering abilities, and goats that have a
pleasant, affectionate temperment.

Beech is a lovely goat with sound conformation. She produces a darker brown, fine
cashmere with good fiber coverage, excellent style, and fairly good staple length. She is an
excellent mother with a well attached udder, and seems to produce milk that is high in
butterfat.

Beech is a lovely goat with sound conformation. She produces a darker brown, fine
cashmere with good fiber coverage, excellent style, and fairly good staple length. She is an

Gretel is a nicely built goat with a long, level topline and well set legs. She is black with brown
stripes on her face and brown patches on her ears. Her guard hair is slightly longer than her
dams, but she produces a light brown fiber with good style and fairly long staple length. She
is very affectionate with an inquisitive personality.

black with brown patches on her ears and a white spot on her forehead. Her guard hair is
slightly longer than her fiber, and she produces an abundance of fiber with good style and
fairly long staple length. She is a very calm, affectionate goat with a laid-back personality.
Nestle took first place in her class at the 2008 Virginia State Fair Cashmere Goat Show.

Shiraz has inherited her mother's nice fleece in terms of coverage, style, fiber length and
fineness. She has broken color which will detract a little from the overall value of her fleece,
but she has still produced an outstanding fleece for handspinning. Shiraz has also inherited
her father's nice conformation, so we are eagerly waiting to see how she develops as she
matures.

Sangria is a very well put together goat with very nice conformation. Her adult cashmere coat
is showing excellent coverage, and a nice staple length. Her fiber color is a little inconsistent -
ranging from a medium to light brown, but the fiber appears to be very fine. The length,
coverage and fineness of fiber should ensure a really nice handspinning fleece.
